Duct Cleaning in Sharjah

If one split smells, clean that indoor unit. If every room on a ducted system blows dust, smells stale when the fan starts, or one bedroom never cools while the others are fine, the ducts and the air handler are the job. Common duct problems in Sharjah

Dust from every vent

A ducted villa in Al Khan, Muwaileh, or Al Taawun pulls return air from a ceiling void that is full of construction dust or sand. If the return hatch is loose, that dust is the supply air. You see it on furniture a day after cleaning the room. We vacuum from the boots back toward the handler and seal a return that is open to the void. Wiping the grille and leaving the branch full does not stop the dust.

One room stays hot

A closed damper, a crushed flex duct, or a branch that has sagged into a U and filled with dust starves one room. The compressor is not the cause when the other rooms are cold. We find the branch, clear or support it, and check the damper. Replacing a compressor because one bedroom is warm is a misdiagnosis we see on invoices from previous visits.

Smell when the system starts

The handler cabinet and the drain pan under a ceiling unit stay wet. Dust in the first metre of duct holds that moisture and smells. Cleaning the pan and the near duct removes it. If the indoor coil itself is solid with dirt, the handler needs a wash as well, which is part of this visit when we are already in the cabinet. A perfume treatment blown down a dirty duct is not a clean.

Debris after renovation

Gypsum sand and offcuts end up in open ducts when a villa is painted or a shop is refit. The first start after the work blows it into the room. We clean before that start if you call us at the end of the fit-out. After the fact, the same clean still works, and the furniture needs covering because the first vacuum pulls a cloud if the boots are full.

Sagging flex

Flexible duct that is not supported sags, holds dust, and adds resistance. In Sharjah villas the same flex is used above bathrooms and in roof voids. We support a sagging branch when it is the reason one room is weak. A branch that has collapsed inside is photographed and quoted as a repair, not folded into the cleaning price as if it were only dirt.

A return grille that is choked

People wash the supply vents and never open the return. The return filter, if it exists, is the part that protects the coil. A missing or cardboard filter in a warehouse or a shop facing a roller door lets dust straight into the handler. We replace disposable filters and say if the rack is the wrong size. The filter is a small part. The coil it failed to protect is not.

Insulation that has fallen inside the duct

Torn liner sheds fibres and also lets the metal sweat. You may see black marks at the vent and weak cooling in that room. We photograph it. Replacement of liner is a repair quote. We do not vacuum forever at a duct that is coming apart.

Water from a ceiling vent

A blocked handler drain, or a duct that is uninsulated in a humid void, drips at the boot. The stain is on the ceiling. The cause is at the handler or the insulation. We clear the handler drain and note any uninsulated section. This is often booked with central AC service because the machine and the duct are one system.

How the work is planned

Count the supply vents and tell us the ceiling height and the area. We quote from that count. Furniture under vents is covered. You can see the debris that comes out before the grilles go back. We do not fog chemical through a duct that has not been vacuumed. Access hatches that are painted shut need to be agreed before we cut anything.

After a clean, the first start should not throw a cloud. If it does, a branch was missed or a return is still open to the void. Tell us which room. We reopen that boot rather than spraying the house and calling it done. In Al Taawun and Muwaileh the return is often a grilled opening in the hall ceiling with no filter at all. We will fit a filter frame when the opening allows it, and we will say when the opening is the wrong size. A filter that cannot seal is a hole. Dust goes around it and the coil loads up exactly as before.

Renovation dust is heavier than summer dust. If painters are still on site, book the clean for the day after they finish, not the day before, or you will pay twice.
